co.mments is failing me (not anymore)
Is anyone else not receiving co.mments e-mail notifications ? Suddenly I stopped receiving notifications and this has been going on for a while. I only noticed it today when I actually went back to a post I had subscribed.
I have contacted the support team already and I guess I’ll use the RSS feed now, but I’d rather get the notifications by e-mail.

Ok, I guess it was my problem after all. What happened was that I wasn’t logged on to my co.mments.com account, and that’s why I was not receiving any notification e-mails. You’re now probably asking “What ? You need to be logged in to receive e-mails ?” Nope. But you need to be logged in when you click the co.mments bookmarklet to track a conversation. So everytime I clicked the bookmarklet, my tracked conversations were going to some kind of “non registered user account” which was probably tracked back to my computer with cookies. And of course, to use the e-mail notification feature you need to have an account.
Some people might not consider this a bug, but it can be kind of annoying. One way to solve this could be the following: if you add the bookmarklet to your browser when you are logged in, it embeds your username on the bookmarklet and when you click it to track something it checks to see if you’re logged in into your account. That way you would know if the tracked conversations were not going to be really added to your account.
