My name’s Tiago Rodrigues and I’m an informatics student and (sometimes) webdeveloper from Vila Real de Santo Ant??nio, Algarve, Portugal, currently living in Faro where i study at the University of Algarve.

I’m a regular GNU/Linux user and Free/Open Source Software apologist. I’m currently using Ubuntu GNU/Linux altough in the past I have used Slackware, Gentoo and Arch on a daily basis. After nearly 2 years of being a Linux user and learning a lot about the “insides” of the system and how it works, I just wanted something to “get things done”, but which would let me “play around” with it’s “insides” once in a while. Ubuntu is (at least for now) the answer.

I also work as a Webdeveloper when I get the opportunity (or I just do some things as a hobby) and I’m a strong defender of standards and the “tableless” philosophy.

Apart from all that, I’m a huge music and cinema lover, and I love going out with friends whenever I can. I don’t have much more hobbies or things that I do regularly, but that’s something I’m always trying to change.

Sou um utilizador habitual de GNU/Linux e um apologista do software livre/aberto. Actualmente uso Ubuntu GNU/Linux mas j?? usei Slackware, Gentoo e Arch diariamente. Ap??s cerca de dois anos como utilizador de Linux e de aprendizagem sobre “o interior” do sistema e como funciona, passei a querer algo que me permitisse simplesmente fazer o meu trabalho, mas que de qualquer das formas ainda me permitisse manipular o sistema de vez em quando. O Ubuntu ?? (de momento) a resposta a essa necessidade.
